Receptacle in brick wall has cracked plastic plug. Wire is short.?
How do I replace the plastic duplex outlet with the inside wires being just long enough to reach the terminal screws. Can I extend the wires? There is no room for wire caps in there.
In the back of the outlet box where the wires come into the box are holes,put a 6or8 in. wire extension on each wire with wire nuts then shove wire nuts back inside wall leaving you with your extended wires.
